Ck Technicians tool bag is a good bag it your a maintenance engineer of various descriptions. The bag can get heavy fairly quickly so it’s best to not get carried away with unnecessary tools. The bags unfortunately not seem to last too long, first the zips seem to start going the the actual zip sticking comes away from the bag. I’ve had over 8 of these bags and everyone has done the same. That being said their still a great bag, it CK could improve the quality a bit It would be even better.

Unlike everyone else I have never had an issue with the zips on my bag, my failure is laziness and simply throwing tools in, it quickly becomes a mess. It's very easy to put too much junk in the bag but works well when you organise it

It's a great tool bag if you like to put your tools away neatly only bad point are the zips but that's a common problem with most ck bags.
Apart from the zips I would recommend

Bit pricey for what it is, the zippers either snap off or lose teeth, whatever you look for normally always works its way to the bottom but the one thing you can guarantee is that youll find a padsaw before anything else.

Plenty of pockets and space in the bag both sides.

Great tool bag with plenty storage, make sure you get the version with the rubber bottom as the fabric one wears a hole in the corners not to mention isn't waterproof. So if you're in a wet plant room or outside you can't put bag down. Had mine 3 years I've replaced it as my main bag now use to carry all My braising equipment together. Would reccomend

I have had this case for over 3 years now. I use it as my electrical testing kit fitting test instrument, leads, and adaptors in the middle section with hand tools in either side. After frequent use it is still clean tidy and rip free. The zips still close tightly and the tool holsters are still all strong and intact. Great quality and big enough without being too big that when full it becomes too heavy to carry around.

One of my longer standing tool bags, used for a number of years now, needs a bit of room to open it up fully, i seem to take stuff out the side compartments and at the end of the day chuck it all in the middle, so i do end up sorting it out regularly, not a bad bit of kit

I remember looking at this product thinking how much I wanted one for a longtime so I decided to buy it and after one year of having it I’m thinking of changing it already. It’s fault for me is not being big enough I’ve seen some people say it’s ok if you don’t over fill which tbh I haven’t but even still I find myself thinking it’s more hassle than it’s worth.

The classic sparks manbag has plenty of room to organise all your shiny red and yellow tools used to to perform the dark art and a nice sized centre section which is meant I think for storing paperwork and laptops but is actually used as a dumping area for stray screws, wagos and ,more importantly, all the tools ,that were previously nicely set out in the side panels, when you want to get to the pub on Friday. I love my magma bag would highly reccomend

I have had 3 of these bags over the years and loved them for organising all my tools. Plenty of compartments and a large centre compartment. You can get loads in this bag and that is probably the reason the zips failed on all 3 bags. Probably me to blame also for this as I tended to cram it pretty full. Picked one of these up last year as a guy I was working with had one and it seemed like a useful accessorie!
I ordered one off of the net as price was good, it arrived and I started to load in my tools etc, only problem is you soon use up the pockets/holders for tools and some of the others are useless, so I was left with load of tools which didn't fit in which is no good to man or beast! So mine remains in garage still wrapped unused!
If your just doing electrical testing or prefer to keep your testing tools separate then it may be ok for you as you can fit a tester in middle pocket and then use the other compartments for a small amount of screwdrivers and side cutters, plyers

I like the look of these but have not pulled the trigger yet. Can anyone tell me the downsides of the ones they have?

If you don't buy the more expensive version the zips are a bit flimsy. The best version also has a plastic base so it's water proof

I use this bag but i think I'm going to go back to a tool box. I find alot of the pockets are useless. By the time you've put something in them, your struggling to zip it up. You also need quite alot of room to open it all up.

I had this case but the zips fell apart very quickly much to my annoyance als the stiching from holding the zip cord to the bag came undone.

I have had 2 of these , the only downside is eventually the metal hooks on the shoulder strap breaks . Apart from that not a bad bag

They're nice bags for screwdrivers, wirecutters etc but a bigger tool bag is better for carrying more tools. The zips broke on the one i had and the bottom frayed from being carried around.

Eventually zips give way

Zips tend to go apart from that all good

I bought one of these after a guy I was working with showed up with one and I was hooked! Like the look of it and he had his tester in the Centre partition that's meant for laptop! Looks the business!
When I got mine I set about putting all my tools out of my tote into this ........ Only thing is the slots and compartments for drivers and cutters etc aren't really practical I ended up with half my tools not fitting in it!
So for installation guys it's not really practical! For maintenance engineers or those guys that just do test/inspection work it's just the job! Or if you wanted to use it for carrying your multi tester and a few small tools it would be fine. Mines still in garage amongst the other bargain buys I don't tend to use!!

The ‘MAX’ large version is worth the investment although I’ve recently turned to the Bahco equivalent. (Almost identical) for nearly half the price.
