Hi, you're watching Tool Talk from Expert Trades. I'm Ben Curry and today I'm talking about the Klein Tools modular tip slim screwdrivers. The idea of these is that you ... They're specially designed to work on fuse board breakers. You can see in there, I've got a nice Hager breaker.

There we go. We can see that it's a slot and a Pozzy. So these kind of slim tip, modular top drivers, especially designed to get the perfect fit in these sort of screws that you find in fuse boards. There you go, nice shot of one there. I'll open up the pack, as you can see £9.99 plus VAT is actually not bad for a pair of screwdrivers. So I'll open these up and we'll have a look.

You can see I've got some Klein Tools stuff already, wire strippers. This one first. You can see it's got a nice ... a cross and a flat area, modular so it goes in like so. It means that when you turn your screws, less chance of slippage, more chance of finding the connection. There we go, that's the other one. So they're really good at getting good, tight turn on these circuit breakers. So that's the plan.

Most fuse boards nowadays, I think pretty much all of them, are designed with this style of screw in just because it's a much better way of getting a nice tight, firm connection. It's supposed to torque these things up as well, and as you know, one of the most common sources of home fires is in the fuse board, and it's normally down to a loose connection, and quite often on these neutrals.

You can use one of these screwdrivers, it gets a really nice connection. It helps you make sure you're not slipping off. It's very difficult to slip off the connector once you've got it in the break. They've got a slim neck on them, up there look, so you can get them in RCBOs where you've got a longer hole and they might go in. They might go in as far as that on an RCBO, so you can get the necks in just fine.

It comes in a two part set, and you can see we've got the two by 100, and the one by 80, various sizes. Yeah, that's the Klein Tools modular slim screwdriver. I've been Ben Curry from Electrical Innovations and you've been watching Tool Talk, thank you.

Hi guys, Jack from Nyland of Electrical Services here. So this month, as part of the Tool Talk Testing Review Club, we've got these Klein modular screwdrivers. As you can see, they've got the little tips on that are specially designed for MCBs, RCBOs and such like. We've been using these for about a month now. I was, to be honest, considering getting a set of these for my toolkit before the guys at Expert Trade sent them out and thus far, I've been very impressed.

As you can see, I'm at a fuse board here, and if you've ever tried to get in with an RCBO, you know, with a normal conventional PZ2, PZ1, PH1, PH2 screwdriver, whatever you're going to try and use, they never really get the terminals nicely. So we've got a Dorman Smith board here. We're taking ... disconnecting one of the circuits out of an old CBO. So yeah, it's the first time I've tried this on one of these Dorman Smith breakers. I've used it on a couple of other manufacturers.

So yep, they go straight in. Gets the screw, gets the terminal. Absolutely lovely. And then the bigger one ... even the bigger one actually fits the RCBO nice and it really locks on. Yeah, if you're thinking about getting a set of modular screwdrivers, I'd definitely go for the Klein ones, top deck kit.

You alright guys, Nicholas here, doing a review for Expert Trades. What I have this month are the Klein Phillips screwdrivers, really. Tested up to 1,000 volts. As you know, most screwdrivers are for the electricians now. Both of them are Phillips head, so ideally, they're for consumer units and stuff. These are the only ones I was given. I'm guessing that they're the flatheads. But, from what I know, they're good screwdrivers.

As you can see, the two different sizes. This one would be your probably most used one. But, the one thing that I do like about them is, a lot of screwdrivers, when you see this rubber edge, they're pretty flat and smooth, so when you're screwing, it's burning your hand, and you ain't got as much grip as you should, where, what I've noticed with these is you've got these little grooves, and when you kind of hold 'em, I've noticed your hand don't slip, and you get much more grip when screwing something in.

I would do a demonstration, but we all know how a screwdriver works. And, as you can see, you've got your size in there, so it's easy to pick out the right one you need, which, you might know already. Same on both. You've got your little logo as Klein Tools. And, obviously, I'm not too sure if you've used Klein Tools before. They are usually a bit more of an expensive brand, a lot of people are using CK and stuff.

But, overall, I've gotta give 'em a good review. Thumbs up. They have been really good. You can't say anything wrong about them. They're sleek, small, thinner edges, so they're easy to get into consumer units. No more cutting away at them. They're brilliant, to be honest.

And, if you notice, the heads are a lot more of a thicker-type groove, so they're not singeing away the screw, and even ruining the tip of the screwdriver.

So, overall, massive thumbs up with these. From what I know, both of these were around 10 pound, which, for good tools, you pay good money, get the job done easier.

But, yeah, that's been it. Nicholas from Expert Trades. Have a lovely day.
