Love this company and the appliances. These are my number one rated boilers on the market. The company ethos is heading in the right direction compared to other companies. By these only selling to gas registered companies. It means no more rogue installers. Highly reccomend the company and their products.

Rather overpriced I would say a 30% price cut is required . I find the flue tends to feel lose and insecure . Price of flue components elbows ect 20% more than the same parts with a Vessman name on ( same flue system ) the plastics the pcb is shrouded in are a wee bit airfix feeling crack rather than bend type of plastic. pcb wiring connections Just don't seem to lock on..and condensate is fiddly ... the rear jigs tend to be a tiny bit out of line . And the idea of having telescopic connections at the bottom of the boiler to the isolation valves is just asking for bother ..all in all fitted 6 but I made less per install as a promotion . Some great ideas but getting a good name on social Media and a minority of voices not happy or going sour . All in all an ok boiler that I may fit again when the minor issues I've raised have been addressed . My final point is I feel that some minor issues get missed on the assembly line before dispatch ,,

When something new comes into our trade, you are naturally cautious! Having worked with Atag now for over 18 months, i have to say they haven't faultered at all. As they only sell & distribute to Gas Safe registered businesses, they know they have to be at the top of their game & they certainly are. All deliveries are there well before the time stated and the quality of the product is just simply awesome. Designed by installers and altered very quickly if required when requested by us, the installers. Considering the premium quality of the products, the price is very competitive & the fact that these prices are not shared anywhere really helps with sales & our profit. I would urge anyone that hasn't tried an Atag to give them a go because with a lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger, they are confident in their product & so far, so am I.......

Ultimate Plumbing and Heating Services - answer on April 27, 2017 @ 10:50

Good morning all, I understand there is some nonsense being posted across some social media forums so I just wanted to reassure you all that we are growing strongly and actively recruiting. It's unfortunate that we feel the need to respond to this but such is modern life. Stephen Godward joined the ISC team in January & assists with technical support from the office in Dunfermline. Tony Rees came on board in February in a new TPM role based in London SW & Central South due to considerable growth. Andy & Allen have both decided to move on. Jim Moody (former ATAG Selected Partner) is now TPM for Scotland and after completing his induction will be out visiting ASPs next week. Dave Togher will look after Yorkshire as he did previously. Jason Lewis has got himself a van and has decided now is the time for him to go back on the tools. He will become an ATAG service agent working with Sean Keleher. I'm pleased to say Simon Poskett (current ATAG Selected Partner) of Copper Green will replace Jason in the coming weeks. Finally Mat Downes leaves us after the Installer 2017 show to take up an exciting new opportunity with Polypipe Underfloor Heating. Mat will be replaced by Ben Rose who is currently working his notice at British Gas. I would like to thank all the guys for their considerable efforts during their time with ATAG and wish them the very best for the future. At the same time we look forward to welcoming some new faces to the team. As we continue to grow there will be further recruitment later this year & next so if you would like to be kept abreast of any opportunities please feel free to contact Simon or myself direct. Sam, MD.

Expert Trades (Adam) - answer on April 27, 2017 @ 10:51

Hey Terry - just saw message. It's a fair point but we have been linking to all the questions in Tool Talk and I did not know how to summarise this one nor did I want to just skip it.. but I did feel this one was a bit 'click baity' and that isn't our style. Just didn't know a better way on this occasion. I normally just have inappropriate ones without realising .. 'like Tools. Want to meet up?' .. being my favourite .. well worst but you get the picture

Question for ATAG Answers for ATAG

What connection does ATAG have with Corgi? Heard some rumours and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. I heard Corgi were making a boiler and would be badged up ATAG. This don't sit well with me as the installs will end up being done by Corgi Homeplan.

Hampshire Boilers - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 06:49

As far as im aware Corgi own a portion of it but dont know how much. Good luck finding the answer as they dont like talking about it.

Gas-Tec - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 06:50

I heard the same things, asked the question to Atag but didn't get a yes or no answer. Doesn't help I know.

Richards Simmons Heating Ltd - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 06:50

Investors that have money in corgi Homeplan are the same investors that own the rights to sell atag boilers in the U.K. The two companies are in the same building but atag heating U.K. Only have the rights to sell and market them in the U.K.

JH P&H - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 06:52

Richards Simmons Heating Ltd - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 06:57

Corgi are ok,poor rates of pay for expectations of experienced repair and breakdown engineers. Atag on the other hand, superb reps with a fantastic business setup and product. Couldn't fault them if i tried.

JH P&H - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:03

Mackie Heating ltd - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:12

Go on company's house and search 'corgi boiler technologies ' Same people as corgi, same building and same staff when it's quiet on the home plan floors they work in Atag's office. Same rich dude owns all the companies. Also corgi install Atag's as a replacement boiler under the home plan. Does it bother me? Not sure yet but I've fit 17 Atag's and have one in my house. Great boiler time will tell on aht

Hampshire Boilers - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:25

Is there any common faults with Atag?

JH P&H - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:34

Thanks Mackie. School day for me. Didn't know you could check that.

iGas Heating Ltd - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:36

Corgi HomePlan and ATAG U.K. Owned by same person As for issues they're very sensitive to CH Pressure And loads of issues with One Controller

Hampshire Boilers - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:41

Issues like what.

Mackie Heating ltd - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 07:44

The boiler is decent. Zero issues, if your not network savvy then the flagship control the one controller is a twat on net gear routers. The comment about pressure has been resolved with the new firmware update on the board and is now less sensitive. Best thing about them is that the customer can't google the price .

Stamford Boilers - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 09:17

What's the open vent models like?

SAFGas Ltd - answer on April 17, 2017 @ 10:02

I have been using Atag boilers for nearly 2 years now & have not had an issue with any - over 20 installs. As much as I've been aware of the relationship of the 2 due to FBook posts, it hasn't bothered or affected me in the least because Atag are helping my company profits grow & that's why i run my business. The fact Atag only supply to selected gas safe installers shouldn't mean that installs will end up being done by Corgi as there is no relationship there to do that. Yes Corgi use Atag boilers on their replacements for customers on homecover bit why wouldn't they if they are owned by the same dude, makes business sense to me....... ✌

PARAGAS - answer on April 21, 2017 @ 10:25

Hampshire Boilers - answer on April 21, 2017 @ 10:48

Now thats a statement Para gas. What have tried to find out before.

Sunrise Plumbing & Heating - answer on April 22, 2017 @ 05:36

Hi I think like others have already said same investors on both companies just wonder who carries out Atag warranty God help the customer if it's Corgi homeplan wirm out of everything

iGas Heating Ltd - answer on April 22, 2017 @ 07:23

I had to call a warranty in on a Combi I fitted in November which keeps going to 118 fault. They sent a subby out from a company 30 miles away who blamed the fault on me saying there's a leak on the system If they bothered to call me beforehand they would have realised that I've tested the system for leaks already and that was why I booked the warranty call fully expecting an ATAG TPM to attend. Sadly they sent a subby and now the customer thinks I lied to them and won't let me back to check Boiler and won't pay the £500 they owe me
