Quality bit of kit, wouldn't recommend any other.
Very powerful machine, easy to use and get your head around.
Maintenance of the machine is extremely easy.
My only gripe with this, is that you can't heat up the water from the machine itself but that's only a minor.

I have used a couple of different powerflushing machines and, these are by far the most durable, with a powerful pump. They are one of the more expensive, but, are the best value for money. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to purchase a powerflush machine.

Good piece of kit. Everyone I have used leaked water in some way shape or form around the top but nothing too alarming.

Quite bulky compared to some other products out there and is a little heavy but again these are niggley points. For the price of the unit you can't complain compared to the likes of Kamco

Think mine has leaked ever since i bought it. Doesn't cause a major issue as i like to run it outside the property. Has it a fair few years now and still going strong. One thing i would say is its hard to balance and the pump seems stronger one way than the other

Recently used the flushing machine, and was very impressed. Think I'm going to purchase one soon. My machine is a sentinel one, and it's getting a bit old now. Using this with the filter as well made a massive difference to the speed of the flush.

Brilliant bit of kit, does exactly what you need it to do. Only downsides are it's heavy and it needs a powerful transformer so it can work all day. I burnt out 2 little transformers using it. Could also do with a sight tube to be able to see the water level easier

Bit bigger than some others on the market but it will do fairly big systems without any hassle. Easy to use had to change a couple of valves on mine which were easy to get hold of but not cheap by any stretch of the imagination! Use mine with a magnacleanse and get good results, next up is a heater element of some description!!! Pay for themselves after a few flushes.

Good, easy machine to use. It's a bit of a lump to move around, but it does the job it required to do.
Only issue we've found is not the easy to see the water level inside the machine.

Brilliant powerflush machine. It takes a while to get used to how it works but once you get the hang of it, it's easy and becomes second nature. It's very good at cleaning the heating system and it has helped me resolve some blocked radiators. Good capacity but it would be good if there was a way to add an element to heat the water in some way to help the chemicals work.

It's not the easiest to store due to its shape and size but it isn't too much of a problem. The hoses that come with it are brilliant quality but if you want to extend them then I suggest looking elsewhere than Fernox themself as they are extortionate, it's no wonder the Rep says they don't sell much when I found out the cost.

Borrowed this from a heating engineer mate to do a power flush. I found it to be a bit cumbersome and heavy. I downloaded instructions which I found very easy to follow. He had a pair of seperate magnets connected which showed how good a job the machine had done.

Not the greatest of build quality and a really awkward shape, I've switched to the Proflush and found it a far superior machine. I'm sure this will do great for when you're starting out but I'd definitely recommend upgrading to the proflush

Morning everyone. Lee from iGas Heating Limited, here doing a Tool Talk review on behalf of Expert Trades and in partnership with Fernox. We're using a Fernox Power Flush machine. I'll turn the video and I'll show you what model it is. As you can see, the model we're using is a Fernox Powerflow Mach Three. And first impressions, really good steady build, nice and quiet compared to some machines I've used before, Kamco one's quite noisy. And yeah, so as you can see, these are the locks for connecting onto your flow hammer turns. Comes with everything you need, absolutely everything. There's the magnet over there as well. Obviously, it's drawing all the magnetite out of the system. I have used just the magnet bins on it's own before, which is great. It does a job, but when you use the magnet in conjunction with a big pump like this, obviously you get a much better flush.

One thing I really like is these hoses, rated up to 30 bar, nice and thick and one really good point is they're really long. So for example, my dump valve, we dump the water from, it's come right out into the garden, all the way down there down to a drain, and that one goes to an outside tap. So really good length, so you haven't got to have the power flush in someone's bedroom or something like that if you've got to be nearest to the tap. So yeah, really good positive. As I said, nice, good build. Nice big strong levers. If you're a bit heavy handed, you're not going to snap them off. And again, yeah, really nice and quiet.

As we go through I'll show you the results. This has been on for about five minutes, just flushing everything. It's what we do first, try and flush the whole system. I don't know if you can see that, but the water it looks like really strong coffee. So yeah, getting a lot of dirt out already and we haven't even started rad by rad, or agitating any of the rads.

If I just show you what else it comes with. Actually a rad agitator, so you rub this up and down the radiator, it loosens up all the sludge inside and then gets drawn out by the machine and the magnets. This one here is your magnet. Sucks all the rubbish out, really strong magnet, don't put it near your pacemaker or anything 'cause they are very strong.

Just going to go and check the magnet, the flush has been on for about an hour and a half now, done a couple of rads. As you can see, absolutely caked in magnetite. This is what's normally going round the heating system, or dirty heating system should we say. Purpose of this magnet, draws it out, clearly doing it's job really well. Good thing about these, you can actually do it live with the machine on, so you've got a bypass. What you do, once you finish, you turn them back round and underneath it says circulate, which obviously makes it go through the filter. But I put it on bypass so we can change the filter live without turning anything off. Really good feature.

Hello everyone. Just want to summarise what I think of the Fernox Powerflow Mach Three. First, we'll give you a bit of history on the job. Guy called me, "Rads not heating up very well. Had it flushed twice before. Really noisy pump. Four rads didn't work at all." So I went and had a look. I recommended a decent flush, proper flush. Recommended a new bigger rad in the lounge 'cause a massive lounge, big windows and everything else, so not heating up the room, no chance. Yeah, spent a day there, flushed the system on it's own together for a good hour. Cleaned the magnet, absolutely filthy, and in the dump from the first flush took about 25 dumps for it to get clear. So yeah, really badly dirty system, but showed obviously the Fernox machine was working well and the magnet was absolutely caked. So putting them together was both really good. Yeah, then obviously done rad by rad, changed the pump for a new pump. And actually got an email this morning from the customer, really singing our praises, saying the first time in about six months they've woken up with a warm house and the boiler working, the boiler not making any noise and the pump obviously not making any noise 'cause it was new.

Yeah, so to sum up, absolutely great machine. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure any other machine you'd still get good results, especially from such a bad system, but like I said, the build quality was really good. It seemed very quiet. Price is great, very competitive compared to other machines in it's class. And just the overall service as well from Fernox has been great and Expert Trades. So yeah, I really would recommend it. If you're going to buy one, take a look at a Fernox. Consider it up there with the others and give one a go. You really won't regret it.

Anyway. Thanks. That's Lee, from iGas Heating Limited. See you again soon.
