Got these set up on all my saws, compact easy to store away , easy to use and change bags. Love the hand break on wheels, stops them rolling round in back of van. Hoses well made and strong not had any split yet.

I have used my MIDI for about 4-5 years with my Metabo all chaser and has been spot on, no dust in occupied houses, the filter system works great and I use the filter bags also which keeps the machine clean. The only bad point is the plastic too breaks very easy to the point I have no black plastic left on top from taking small knocks

Had my CTL MIDI for 8 years now after trying a domestic vacuum with my festool plungesaw. Since then I have used it with a variety of tools right down to a mouse sander. I have also used it with some of the tools from an old hoover, to clean up where I’m working. Basically , I use it for any non household vacuuming - and it’s been faultless. Only one tiny irritation which is that the automatic switching on of the vacuuming doesn’t work with a low power tool like the mouse.
The bags hold a lot of stuff and are around £4 each - but are rarely needed. The design that enables the hose and cable to be stored in the top is very practical too.

There isn’t a lot better for use in a customers house, when paired up with the festool tools it’s capable of clearing most dust and cutting debris.

It’ll struggle to keep up with a router of planer but the saw and sander it clears really well.

The bluetooth connectivity with the cordless tools is great, meaning it’ll activate if you’ve got the relevant batteries.

I have owned a Festool midi extractor for 5 years now. I make a lot of cabinets and doors from MDF and veneered sheet material, constructing these creates a lot of dust but with the extractor attached to my power tools this severely reduces the quantity of dust becoming airborne. The bags are on the expensive side but alternatives are available.

I don’t think festool is the best make on the market for 90% of there tools

But this hoover is just an example of a well rounded durable and strong.

I love this hoover and it well priced for festool as they usually are a little pricy, I do love this

Absolutely awesome bit kit! Worth every single penny, bought this after a buddy recommened it to me and i havent looked back since, there is nothing this thing wont pick up. It sucks up dust and dirt like your in laws suck the will live of you when they spend a week in your bed because "the spare bed gives me a dodgy neck"

I bought the CTM36 to use with the kapex 120. It’s very effective at keeping the work area clear of dust and more importantly means that you can use it with other Festool tools inside.

This extraction unit is such an important item to own with its variable power level of suction containing lots of dust for a better working environment plus unit is easy to move around with the wheels attached.
When used with the Festool plunge saw and planner it’s such a great addition to put the customers mind at ease if inside the home on the amount of dust and waste material that can be generated when not connected.
Well worth having with the Festool plunge saw.

Well designed kit as you’d expect from Festool. Variable power is useful to keep the noise levels and energy consumption lower when you dont need its full sucking power! Cable storage and tool storage are in the lid and a sturdy bungee keeps the hose in place on the top. There is a useful 5m of Sturdy power cable and the power take off runs for the extraction for a few seconds after you switch off which works well for keeping dust out your lungs. Castors also seem good quality. No complaints so far.

I have this dust extractor and use it with the festool plunge saw. It collects a good amount of dust and very little escapes its grasp. A good point is the power take off with the auto start/stop and I have attached my chop saw onto this with no problems. It gives a good impression to the customer when there is no mess over their driveway when the work is getting carried out.

The extractor integrates perfectly with Festool machines as you'd expect. The top sustainers mount doesn't seems as robust as it could be and the hose & cable storage a little clumsy. Dust bags are expensive

Great addition to my TS55 perfect on rainy day when you need to cut indoors absolutely 0% dust so no complaints from customers, altought the bag aren't the biggest of capacity there not expensive to replace. Would change it for anything else (except M class for site works)

Got the midi extractor, better off going for the midi rather then the mini just for the extra capacity
Two tips don't run it on high when sanding low is fine and will stop overheating
Also empty your bags and reuse to get more value for money
