Knipex Electrical Installation Pliers

Got the VDE version of these with a wera screwdriver set wasn’t expect much from them as always thought they looked too big and clumsy. But they are surprisingly brilliant really easy to strip cut and crimp cables. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve had these for a few years, they are great for all sorts of tasks and have never let me down.
The shears are sharp and easily cut through 25mm tails. They will cut 35&50mm just fine but with a little effort required.
Don’t let the price tag put you off they are well worth the cost.

Excellent grip on the handle. Has loads of features built in. Very handy tool indeed. I mainly use the pliers and 1.5 2.5 wire stripper. These are more expensive than other brands but again you getting pretty much a multi-tool for all your electrical needs. Knipex is a very good brand in my opinion.

These are a great tool and usually stay in my pocket most days, my only issue I’ve found is when trying to terminate a cable in a deep back box, but other than that I think they’re great and use them all the time

Little pricey but when you think these are at least 4 tools in. Makes more space in tool bag for other things or you can just carry less. Cable cutter is so easy hardly any force needed and stripping is effortless. Great purchase

Not sure how I managed before I bought this. Absolutely brilliant, doesn’t need as much muscle with what seems added leverage.
Just need the 1 tool for cutting stripping and crimping.
Nice ergonomic grip, helps when using for long periods

A very versatile tool that I use every day. The cutters go through cables with ease, the pliers grip well and the crimping and stripping features are handy. I own the VDE version, which aren’t cheap. Well made and worth the expense.

I have the VDE version with the spring clip. These have replaced my normal pliers. Find as an electrician these are much more useful, as I rarely need a pair of pliers with larger jaws. The shears are very good when cutting larger flex and the holes for cutting insulation work well. Only used the crimper once, but it saved me when not having a dedicated crimping tool.

Anyone that knows knipex, knows they're the best and this tool is right up there! I bought it just to try because I'm a tool addict, but now I can't be without it!

This stripper is invaluable when you’ve got a fair amount of flex to strip. Gets it nice and neat every time.

Quite expensive but I think worth the money, next to my cutters these have place in my tool bag.

I mostly use them for the second fix jobs.

Great to use and can be stored away in tool boxes and bags, great to keep in the van. Would even be handy for use at home when needed.

Tbh I found these to be quite awkward to work with and found it much easier using separate shears and pliers.

Very good add on tool to existing cutters. Easy to co cut 25mm ties. Plus handy grip, slim shape that gives access to tight spaces. Don’t forget about 1.5 & 2.5 cable insulation stripper. Overal very handy tool. A must have for every sparky
