Having got this drill / driver within a kit that I bought 4 years ago it’s still going very well.
The drill is quite powerful as not the largest drill in this range so a real plus point.
I only recently changed brushes in cordless and now as good as new
Used for a variety of tasks.
Would definitely recommend having in kit.

It is a great combi drill, I’ve had it for around 7 years and use it on a regular basis, only thing I would say is to upgrade the battery, I have upgraded to the 5amp and it’s much better and lasts a lot longer

Makita used to be a good brand. Unfortunately don't expect the new Makita tools to last much more than 1 1/2 years before they give up the ghost. Customer service also dire. Had impact driver and drill both faulty within 18 months and because I didn't tell them I bought them - offered no help whatsoever. Over 30 years we have bought Makita brand - now switched.

Had this for a few years and never let me down, great all round drill. Price is competitive. It has lasted longer than any previous brands used.

Great still. Really recommend for any tradesmen. I want the pack. I usually use my Stanley fatmax but this was a upgrade.
I really recommend buying a belt for it

I’ve had this drill for 2 years now doing various work. It’s never skipped a beat and it’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it. The three functions in the one drill makes it the first go to item allowing you to drill a wall and screw into it within seconds.

Ideal for a first drill or DIY it will get the easy basic jobs done, the newer brushless models are miles above this, worth spending the extra if your going to use it daily.

I've had mine for quite a few years now, and apart from it's stuck on hammer, it's still going strong. Comes with a handy light when drilling, and a bracket so you can clip it on your belt.

Great drills and had used makita for years without fault. Just managed to break the 2 i had in quick succession so replaced with panasonic. Would definitely recommend these as they are a powerful drill and make light work of the biggest jobs.

Other than the costly expense to batteries I really do think that the top of the range makita brushless models can't be beaten on the market

Great drill! I've used this on many of metal roofing jobs, the power doesn't last as long but it does what it's supposed to. I don't like the plastic chuck would prefer metal. Would recommend.

Not a bad drill I have two they vary in strength and features such as metal chucks and brushless motors but avoid using the cheapest ones as they would struggle when put to hard use but not bad value for money
