DEWALT D26204K Plunge & Fixed Base Router
The DEWALT D26204K is a Premium 1/4 inch plunge and fixed base variable speed combination router with full wave electronic speed control with feedback which ensures the selected speed is maintained under any load for a consistent finish in all grades of timber, aluminium and plastics. It has variable speed control (16,000 to 27,000/min) this enables router bit to be optimised for application.
The compact, light weight design increases ease of use and user comfort and the plunge base incorporates fine tune rod for precise depth adjustment. The aluminium motor housing can be transitioned quickly to a fixed base attachment increasing the versatility of the machine. The five position adjustable turret enables stepped or repeated plunge cuts with the over moulded rubber handles provide a comfortable and secure grip. The dual LED lights increase the visibility around the router bit during operation and the multiple spindle lock detants enables quick and simple router bit change.
Ideal for Beading, Template work, Profiling, Trenching, Dovetailing.

Bought this recently to assist with cutting kitchen worktops with the use of a jig. Seems to do what it says on the tin and time will tell on how long the cutting blades will last but happy with my purchase.

Love it. Only used it a few times since I got it but it’s been brilliant so far, really versatile and has all the power I need. Considered getting the cordless version but glad I didn’t, cable doesn’t cause me an issue.

I have only just bought the router as i had loads of jobs that kept popping up, i mainly wanted it for doors and using it with the skeleton jig and in all honesty its the best dewalt tool i have purchased from dewalt its so powerful and durable and the finish is amazing, couldnt be happier with this dewalt 18v router highly recommended

Quality piece of joinery kit to have. A much needed improvement to the normal heavy routers, so lightweight, nimble and easy to use. great for cutting out hinges and locks, add on the plunge attachment and you can do worktops. Really good for doing edge detailing and smoothing those ends off. For any joiner out the without one of these, you need to get one and try yourself to see how good they are would definitely recommend.

Well this is a really nice surprise it’s a gd send no lead holds it’s power, easily moving around all pieces good build quality as expected anyway, glad I bought this tool, I’ve not probably used to its full potential yet but hopefully when we’re ok to play out again.

One of my most used tools, mainly used on hinges. Can’t fault it, flexvolt battery last most the day.
Would be nice if the dust extraction was better but tbh all routers are like that.
Would 100% recommend.

Used this that an ex work colleague had. Brilliant. Variable speed, lightweight, plunge base or fixed base.
The black collar on the fixed base in the photo above is a micro depth adjustment ring. Just release the depth stop and turn either way (for up or down obviously). You can do this in a fraction of a mm.
It has a handy LED light for helping seeing your work.
Various attachments for dust extraction. I’ve marked it down on features for these dust extraction attachments. They fit well enough, but if you are trimming the edge of material even with a great extraction system, more material is distributed on the floor rather going up the extraction tube. That’s it’s only downside. But I find that’s similar with the majority of routers.
I like this router that’s much (the corded one I used was my work colleague’s remember), that I bought the cordless version.

Not the best built I've seen as the internal connections come loose easily and the wire sheeving comes away from the body of the router however it is a very powerful pluggable tool and everyone at my firm uses them

I would recommend looking around, but for the full kit and box you’ll be looking at about £300- £350, for bare unit about £180 - £200 but that’s without the plunge. So depending what you I say shop around online to get best deal. Hope this helps.
