Review for Stanley Fatmax Cordless Hammer Drill FMC625D2 18V by Handyman Brian
2nd March 2021

I have two of these drills, at the time I purchased them they were much cheaper than the DeWalt drill driver’s and I was a DIY enthusiast and didn’t want to spend too much money on it so I jumped in. I have used and miss used them for around 7 years now. I must say they have held up very well. I’ve drilled into lintels, metal and obviously a lot of wood with them. The batteries are starting to drain pretty quickly nowadays. I now work as a professional handyman and have bought into the DeWalt 18V battery platform system so when they finally give up I will move over. All things said they have treated me well and anyone wanting a cordless drill driver that has all the settings you will ever need at a reasonable price I would say get one.

Stanley cordless drills are up there with the common brands like Dewalt and Makita. Power performance on these drills is next to nothing and very well built.

Have two of these now for three years still going strong no issues what so ever. Use to work in a position where we had use of Hitachi, Makita and Bosch power tools all at once, the Stanley is easily in the same performance category and yet comes at a far better price than the other brands.

Great to use and can be stored away in tool boxes and bags, great to keep in the van. Would even be handy for use at home when needed.
